What to Expect


  • Blue House (청와대):
    Official residence of the president of Korea is called "The Blue House". The symbol of the Blue House, which is at the centre of Korean politics, is the blue tiles. The first thing that catches your eye when you arrive at the Blue House is also the blue tiles of the main building. The blue tiles and the smooth roof are in beautiful harmony with Mt. Bukaksan behind it.
  • Gyeongbokgung Palace (경복궁):
    Gyeonbokgung Palace is a palace erected during the reign of King Taejo, founder of the Joseon Dynasty(1392-1910) which was the final kingdom in Korea, but it was destroyed in the Japanese invasion of 1592. It was reconstructed in 1868. It has 4 gates including the southern main gate, Gwanghwamum.
  • Changdeok-gung Palace (창덕궁):
    The best preserved of the five palaces of the Joseon Dynasty, the compound has been designated a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Originally an auxiliary palace, but since Seongjong 성종 (1470-1494), it became virtually the main palace as kings came to live there.
  • Jogye Temple (조계사):
    Jogyesa Temple leads to the Zen Buddhism in Korea. This temple does not give off the solemn and traditional feelings of the other temples located in the deep mountains. But it has some advantages compared to the other temples because the transportation is very convenient and this temple is well connected to the surrounding city area.
  • National Folk Museum (국립민속박물관):
    The National Folk Museum is located on the compound of Gyeongbok palace. It shows you the traditional life of both the ordinary people and aristocracy. It has exhibits from all parts of Korea. There ae displays of traditional farming methods, hunting, weaving, cooking and other house keeping chores.
  • Seoul Tower (남산타워):
    Located at the top of Mt, Namsan in the heart of Seoul, Seoul Tower is a 240-meter tall tower completed in 1975, Often regarded as Asia's most beautiful tower, this tower is also where you can get the most exciting night view of Seoul, the dramatic light shows made by skyscrapers, inner city highways and the long bridges of Han river.
  • Namdaemun Market (남대문시장):
    Namdaemun Market is the largest one in Seoul and shoppers may get any product in Korea at the cheapest price at here. Moreover it`s near from the center of Seoul, passengers can easily access to the major hotels even at night
  • Insa-dong (인사동):
    Authentically decorated tea houses serving an intriguing array of traditional teas, high-end antique galleries and delicious and innovation restaurants in Seoul are all found here, Insa-dong is a favorite stop for tourists who know that this is the place to find a perfect gift to take back home

Additional information


  • A moderate fitness/walking is required. it is recommended that you wear good walking shoes
  • On Mondays, Changdeokgung Palace, Namsan Hanok  may be closed; if this is the case, you will visit Namsan Hanok Village instead
  • On Tuesdays, Gyeongbokgung Palace, the National Folk Museum may be closed; if this is the case, you will visit Deoksu Palace, the History Museum instead
